About Francesco …

GoStrata was created by Francesco Andreone in 2016.

Francesco has over 30 years’ experience in the high density strata and community title real estate sector around Australia providing professional advice and assistance to all kinds of strata stakeholders since 1989.

That work has covered the full range of strata and community title related issues including:

• structuring legal and operational titling of new developments,

• governance advice and management,

• internal disputes, litigation and mediation,

• external disputes, litigation and arbitrations,

• construction defect claims and litigation,

• building remediation contracting and management,

• licensing and compliance,

• law reform submissions, reviews and drafting, and

• stakeholder business management and operational consultancy.

Francesco has assisted more than 10,000 strata stakeholders over that time including strata buildings, government agencies, public companies and private individuals.

Whilst in private legal practice and as a consultant, Francesco conducted and managed some of the leading cases on strata title laws, building development, and construction defects in the country including law changing NSW Court of Appeal and High Court decisions.

In 1996 Francesco was engaged by the NSW Department of Fair Trading to write the model by-laws for strata title schemes under the new strata laws and in 2006 Francesco was engaged by VIC Consumer Affairs to write the consumer guides for their new owners corporation legislation.

Between 2011 and 2015 Francesco also held an associate professorship at the City Futures Research Centre at UNSW and was the lead researcher and author of the 2013 NCCARF research project on climate change issues for Griffith University.

Since 1990 Francesco has been actively involved in a wide variety of strata sector organisations. Plus, Francesco has also written and lectured extensively on strata and related topics in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the USA, Singapore, and South Africa.

And, Francesco has made extensive submissions to governments around Australia on strata, community title and home building law reforms.

Francesco is widely regarded as one of the country’s leading experts on strata and community title matters.
